Literally couldn't wait to write a 5 star review once I sat down. GREAT atmosphere! The names on the wall are just such a fantastic idea. And the FOOD!?! EVERYTHING is baked/made right here by Michael Carlson and his wife (who we didn't meet, unfortunately). Michael was such a genuine fellow, and lovely to chat to. The only downside for me personally, is that a custom plain breakfast burrito couldn't be made to meet my dietary needs - but that didn't even dent my 5 star review. I got a Greek yogurt and berry parfait that had the PERFECT amount of granola! This will definitely be a place to stop at every single time we drive through this way in the future. Thank you to the reviewer who said it was "better than the shifty hotel breakfast anyday" - that gave my husband a chuckle and sealed our decision to try it out. Don't hesitate! Go now!

This place is such a hidden gem! I hit it on my way to Wisconsin from Arizona, and I’m so glad I decided to go in. Literally the best breakfast sandwich I’ve ever had. Service was super quick so it’s not a situation where you need to spend a ton of time. If you need a place to stop for delicious coffee, an amazing homemade breakfast, and the type of genuine hospitality that is hard to come by during your journey, this is it!! Mr. and Mrs. Carlson have done an amazing job. Bravo and thank you!

Stopped in for coffee and couldn’t resist picking up some of the baked goods as well (they’re delicious). They have such a large selection it was hard to pick just two! The coconut mocha and caramel mocha were amazing, and just what we needed to jumpstart another long day of driving. Service was quick and friendly, will definitely stop in again next time we pass through

We love Tucumcari NM. We took our kids in route 66 during covid to show them the country before there was none left. We fell in love with this little town and this is our 3rd trip back since then! We stopped in at Carlsons this time and we were so glad we did! The atmosphere is great. They have organic coffee beans to purchase! They have an abundance of bakery items including bread. They make breakfast and lunch also and all bread is made in house! We had curried chicken salad subs and they were delicious! We will definitely be back next time we can get this way from Alabama!

We stopped here on a whim before continuing west and were glad we did. The worker enthusiastically greeted us making us feel at home. The baked goods were great and the eclair stood out in particular. Our latte was good and the drip coffee was great. I had the Chocolate Pinon drip coffee, which I've been dreaming about since.
